On 12 October 2018, Central Piers with a breezy morning gathered all PLK students in an attempt, co-organized by PLK and UBS, to break the world record of largest colouring book. Our school sent 20 S5 students as the first group to join the official attempt event next to the famous Ferris wheel on the island. Together with other schools of the section, they kneed on the floor next to the giant colour book, held onto the crayon that they chose and painted on the comic version of the billions dollar worth Victoria Habour.

Guest speakers from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Ms Jacky Yiu, Mr Kelvin Cheng and Mr Colin Siu, an old boy of our College, were invited to give an admissions talk to S 6 students on all areas pertaining to their undergraduate admissions.  The panel detailed the programme features, admission requirements and application tactics.  A student ambassador, Mr Winson Lui, also shared what the University has offered him through a presentation about his collegial life, exchange programmes and scholarships awarded.

To help the NCSs (Non-Chinese Speaking Students) adapting to new school life, the MCE and GC Committee hosted a welcoming lunch for NCSs on 4 Oct 2018 to develop a mutual understanding and build a sense of belongings to school. All NCSs and their Mentors, Class Teachers, Peer Teachers and staffs took part in this entertaining event. Our new liaison officer, Miss Amarah Saleem arranged an array of delicious food including Chicken Tikka, Curry Chicken, Basmati Rice & Rotti for this ice-breaking event.

The STEAM Talk was successfully held on 21st September. It was our pleasure to have invited the engineer from MTR to share some interesting facts about daily operations of MTR.
